Danny Danon, Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, has thanked the nations that helped to stop the introduction of a Palestinian Authority resolution against the latest United States peace plan for Israel and the PA at a UN Security Council meeting on the plan, scheduled for Tuesday.
Danon and PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas are among a number of speakers scheduled to address the council. Regarding the removal of the resolution from the agenda, Danon said, "Our line was clear - not condemnation against Israel but only negotiations will promote a peace process. I thank the countries that helped to stop Abbas' unnecessary action."
