Monday evening saw the record for electricity demand in winter broken when it rose to 13,182 megawatts.
The previous winter's peak demand was recorded on January 19, 2019, at 13,060 MW. The all-time record for electricity demand was recorded in the summer of 2019 at 13,526 MW.
