At least eight people have died in ethnic clashes in Masanchi, Kazakhstan, BBC reported.
Dozens more people were injured, and 30 houses and 15 commercial properties were destroyed.
Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said the area was "under the control" of the police and national guard. He added that 47 people have been arrested.
