National Union Chairman Transportation Minister Betzalel Smotrich responded to the decision to award the Israel Prize for Torah Literature to Rabbi Yaakov Ariel.

Rabbi Ariel, a great genius, a man of Torah, leader, and model of public responsibility and Torah creativity. Blessed is the generation with such leaders and fortunate is the state that knows how to recognize a Torah leader," comments MK Smotrich.
