Former Supreme Court justice Elyakim Rubinstein has defended Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit against charges Mandelblit is biased against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. Interviewed by a Bar Association publication, the former attorney general said, "I appreciate his integrity. He doesn't hate and is not an enemy, Heaven forbid of Binyamin Netanyahu."
Rubinstein regretted what he called the unnecessary elections that are costing a fortune and expressed opposition to splitting the Attorney General's Office into separae offices for prosecution and advising the government and its offices.
