Four Golani fighters were lightly injured last night by a mortar shell blast, which ignited from a fire that they lit to keep warm. The injured were taken to Ziv Hospital in Tzfat.
The IDF said the incident took place during a military drill in the north of the country, and the soldiers were injured "as a result of a shell blast that flared up not within the context of the exercise." It also added that "safety procedures have been sharpened for all fighters in the battalion, and the incident will be investigated."
