Member of Knesset Yair Lapid, a senior member of the Blue and White Party, said on Monday, ahead of Party Chairman Benny Gantz's meeting with United States President Donald Trump, "The deal of the century is a serious opportunity for progress in the political-security field."
Lapid added, "The most important criterion in any diplomatic move is to preserve national security. Without that there is nothing to talk about. Such a significant move should be led by a strong government rather than a transitional government that is headed by a criminal suspect."
