Israel's first proton radiation center will be set up at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv to treat cancer patients from all hospitals who are currently forced to travel abroad to receive proton therapy.
This is an advanced radiotherapy treatment that works by accurately transmitting high-energy radiation that destroys the cancerous cells. The center will include two treatment positions.
