Nabil Abu Rudeineh, spokesman for Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, said on Sunday that the Unites States peace plan for the PA and Israel would not be implemented without the agreement of the Palestinian people, emphasizing that the PA leadership was foiling attempts to eliminate the Palestinian problem as it has in the past.
In an interview with Voice of Palestine radio, Abu Rudeineh said the Palestinian leadership would hold a series of meetings with representatives of Palestinian organizations to declare firm opposition to any waiver of Jerusalem, while exploring all options including the future of the authority. He emphasized that any decision would be with Arab and international support.
