Shmuel Rosenman, founder and co-chairman of March of the Living, who attended today’s conference at Yad Vashem, said: "We liberated Auschwitz 75 years ago, but the demons of anti-Semitism, violence and hatred are still rampant. We are living in a time when an ever-growing number of young people across the world have never heard of Auschwitz."
"It is of immense importance that world leaders have come to Israel, to mark this crucial event with the promise to preserve the memory of the Holocaust. Now is the time for action. The way to fight hate is through education and remembrance, and time is of the essence. Every day we hear of more anti-Semitic events. The responsibility of our leaders cannot end with the laying of wreaths and the bowing of heads. It's time to go to war against anti-Semitism.”
