The National Fraud Investigations Unit in Lahav 433 detained a public employee for investigation this morning on suspicion of committing offenses relating to "purity of virtue" and public corruption.
This development compliments another investigation underway in the U.S., that became public a week ago, and with it the need to investigate the suspicions emerged.
According to allegations, the suspect took advantage of his public standing to further other interests.
The investigation is underway with the Israel Police, accompanied by the Taxation and Economic Affairs Authority.
