President Wolfgang Sobotka of the Austrian National Council declared on Monday that his country will soon pass a resolution that will come out strongly against the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions movement and other anti-Israeli actions in its territory.
Speaking at a special event of the European Union of Jewish Organizations and the European League for Action and Defense, Sobotka said, "Our parliament is preparing to adopt a resolution that will express total opposition to BDS and call for strengthening Israel." He added, "European-wide cooperation is needed to fight anti-Semitism and the new faces of the phenomenon, of which BDS is one."
