The state has told the Supreme Court to reject petitions concerning the inclusion of women in combat armor positions in the Israel Defense Forces.
The state said that while the IDF sees great importance in giving equal opportunity to all recruits, the petitions should be deleted, in part because the chief of staff's decision to continue a gradual examination of the integration of women as tank soldiers was made after a lengthy and thorough examination, taking into account all the necessary considerations, and therefore it is a proper decision with no reason to intervene.
