MK Ofir Sofer (Yamina) responded to the Kan 11 News report which said that the Chief Rabbinate will recognize the Jewishness of the Ethiopian Beta Israel community.
"I congratulate the Chief Rabbinate on the important decision to recognize the ruling of Rabbi Ovadia regarding our brothers from the Beta Israel community," said Sofer.
