The Likud movement has filed a reply to the Supreme Court on its petition regarding the conflict of interest of Knesset Legal Advisor Eyal Ynon regarding Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's request for parliamentary immunity from prosecution on corruption charges.
The response claimed, "Eyal Ynon himself expressly admits the conflict of interest that prevents him from discussing the request for immunity. His conflict of interest prevents him from giving an opinion whose practical significance is a decision in the prime minister's case. It cannot be seriously argued that giving this opinion, during an election period, is a procedural decision. If this is indeed a procedure, then in this case the procedure is the essence."
