Attorney Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, who heads the Shurat Hadin Israel Law Center, called on the FC Barcelona soccer club, Thursday, to remove UNICEF (the United Nations Children's Fund) from its uniform.
Writing on Twitter, Darshan-Leitner noted that the team has donated to the fund since 2006. She questioned UNICEF fulfilling its purpose of supporting and improving child welfare globally. She cited the 2019 report - "Children and Armed Conflict" (written in collaboration with UNICEF) which "conveniently neglects to mention the THOUSANDS of Palestinian children recruited to Hamas & other terror organizations in Gaza as CHILD SOLDIERS & HUMAN SHIELDS annually."
