Prime Minister BenYamin Netanyahu today exerted heavy pressure on Naftali Bennett and Betzalel Smotrich, with the goal of creating a comprehensive union on the right.
Kan reported that Netanyahu met twice today with the New Right and National Union chairmen. At the meeting, Smotrich asked Netanyahu to press Peretz to leave Ben Gvir - Netanyahu refused.
Earlier,it was reported here that the New Right are ready to improve their bid for the Jewish Home, agreeing to place Peretz in second place on the united list, provided he agrees to abandon the agreement with Otzma Yehudit. However, there is currently no progress in talks between Naftali Bennett and Rabbi Peretz.
