Major General Kamil Abu Rukun, Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, has been instructed by the political echelon to authorize the entry of 500 more merchants from Gaza, according to the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation.
If the current calm is maintained, the political echelon is expected to approve the entry of laborers as well, a step currently opposed by the Shabak Israel Security Agency.
