Appointment of police, prisons chiefs frozen until after elections

Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan has decided to freeze the process of appointing commissioners for the Israel Police and Israel Prisons Service until after the Knesset elections, due to legal difficulties and the refusal of the committee on senior appointments to check the number of candidates for each position as he requested.
