Chairman Itzik Shmuli of the Labor-Gesher Knesset faction refused to pledge on Sunday that he will remain in the party if his opinion on its joining Meretz is not accepted.
Interviewed by the Knesset TV Channel, he said he has spoken to any other party to secure a place on a list of Knesset candidates in the upcoming eletion, adding, "At this point in time - I'm part of the party."
