The Likud Party is demanding a temporary injunction to prevent publication of Knesset Legal Advisor Eyal Ynon's opinion on creation of a committee to deal with immunity for Prime Minister and Likud Chairman Binyamin Netanyahu before a Supreme Court ruling on a Likud petition against publication.
Ynon is scheduled to publicize his opinion at 4 pm. An hour later Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein is scheduled to announce his next steps in the matter. A Likud statement said, "The lack of restraint increases the fear of conflict of interest and severely impairs public confidence in the Knesset and the judicial proceedings that are taking place in it."
