Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan intends to bring to the government's approval at a forthcoming meeting a proposal authorizing the commissioner of the Israel Fire and Rescue Services to prevent work stoppages in the organization, based on emergency regulations, Kan 11 News reported Tuesday.
According to the report, Erdan approached the Deputy Attorney General, Raz Nizri, asking for his response to the proposal, while stressing that the recurring disruptions were detrimental to operational competence.
