Fire and Rescue Commissioner Dedy Simhi has announced raised alert levels for the authority's services on Wednesday in light of a weather forecast that includes strong winds, occasional showers and thunderstorms in the north, the center and the coastal plain, accompanied by flooding along the coast and snow on Mount Hermon.
The raised alert followed a situation assessment examining the readiness of all the operational forces in the fire department to provide a quick response to the expected inclement weather.
