The Yehud-Monosson City Council has approved joining the Tel Aviv initiative to operate public transportation on the Jewish Sabbath.
Three Jewish Home representatives were among those who voted against the initiative. During the discussion and vote, hundreds of traditional city residents sang Sabbath songs as part of their call not to accept the proposal.
