The Peace Now (Shalom Achshav) movement has expressed outrage about the approval of 1,936 dwelling units in Judean and Samarian Jewish communities.
A statement by the leftist group said, "In the transition government, business as usual - they are continuing, without a mandate from the public the massive promotion of harmful and unnecessary construction in places that Israel will have to evacuate. [Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu continues to sabotage the prospect of peace and drag Israel into the reality of apartheid."
