Minister of Tourism Yariv Levin (Likud) responded to the High Court's decision to reject the petition seeking to disqualify Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu from forming a government after he was indicted.
"It is a shame that the High Court judges wasted energy just to say what they did after a discussion - this petition is unnecessary. The High Court judges have no authority at all to discuss whether Prime Minister Netanyahu can or cannot form a government. The only ones with the authority to determine this is the voting public, ”Levine said.
"The judges would do well to take the petition paper, shred it thinly and then shred again," he added.
