Chairwoman Orly Levi-Abekasis of the Gesher Party has responded to the Bituach Leumi National Insurance Institute's poverty report by saying, "The findings of the report are a declaration of social bankruptcy by the Israeli government showing the wickedness and opacity of its policy."
The Knesset member, whose focus is social justice, added, "Israeli society is at the center of one of the deepest social crises it will ever know. This poverty will explode in all of our faces.”
