Doctors at Beilinson Hospital have blamed a weight-loss supplement for acute liver failure in a woman in her seventies who was admitted several days ago, according to Channel 12 News.

In the past, a nutritional supplement from the same company was removed from the shelves for fear of being dangerous. Other possibilities were ruled out during several days of examinations. The hospital is waiting to see if the woman's condition will improve, but if it doesn't she may be forced to undergo a liver transplant.
