Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz of the Western Wall of the Temple and Holy Places affixed a new mezuzah at the entrance to the building housing the tomb of Samuel the Prophet, after the previous mezuzah was burned yesterday by anonymous people.
Rabbi Rabinowitz said, "I condemn those who harmed and desecrated the mezuzah, a Jewish symbol on the holiday of Hanukkah. A holiday in which we fight for our spiritual identity as a Jewish people. May we not know more [such] events and the place should only bring peace."
