The Knesset's Arrangements Committee on Monday approved requests from the United Torah Judaism party and the Joint Arab List to split into their constituent factions.

United Torah Judaism, a joint list of the Lithuanian (non-Hasidic) Degel Hatorah party and the Hasidic Agudat Yisrael, will be dissolved ahead of the March 2nd election, following UTJ's pre-election splits in past years.

In addition, the Joint Arab List will split into its four constituent factions: the communist Hadash party, the secular Arab nationalist Balad party, the Ta'al faction, and the Islamist United Arab List (UAL).
