Minister of Religious Services Yitzchak Vaknin, has responded to the stabbing in New York by saying, "Anti-Semitism continues to lift its head in the US, Europe and other parts of the world. Last night, it was innocent Jews who went to a candle lighting in the home of their rabbi."

Rabbi Vaknin added, "We will continue to make a clear and strong voice heard against anti-Semitism. World leaders must unite around the struggle."
