Health funds in Israel reported a significant increase in the number of applicants to be vaccinated against influenza on Thursday.
Some health maintenance organizations ran out of vaccines and tens of thousands of additional doses were ordered. It is estimated that the number of those being vaccinated is steadily rising after the deaths of two people earlier this week from complications of influenza. Three more people are hospitalized in serious condition with flu complications.
