The Yisrael Beytenu party has issued a statement following the New Right party's response to MK Avigdor Liberman's statement that he will seek the Ministry of Religious Services in the next government.
"We congratulate the New Right for embracing our platform and beginning to speak in terms of a Judaism that embraces. It's time, but the original is always better than the imitator. We just want to remind everyone that Bennett was already the Minister for Religious Services and A Shas supported candidate Rabbi Yitzchak Yoseph was chosen as Chief Rabbi instead of Rabbi David Stav. By the way, Yisrael Beytenu is not asking for the religious services portfolio for itself, " the party said.
