MK Elazar Stern (Blue & White) attacks Defense Minister and New Right chairman Naftali Bennett following the news that he will demand the religious services ministry after the elections.
"This is not the first time we have seen false promises from Naftali Bennett. What prevented his party from promoting these welcomed reforms when the Deputy Minister of Religion was a member of their party? What prevented them while they were in the government without the Haredi factions from stopping a conversion reforms I promoted? Why did Shaked veto my bill to add women to the body that chooses the Chief Rabbi? "
"We will continue to do what we started. The right thing to do is to unite the Ministry of Religious services and the Diaspora into one ministry for the unity of the Jewish people in Israel and in the Diaspora," Stern wrote on his Facebook account.
