After heated discussions in the Finance Committee, MK Chairman Moshe Gafnie (UTJ) ordered the committee to stop discussions due to the Treasury's failure to appear regarding a claim regarding the budget for children with special needs.
In the absence of representatives from the Ministry of Education, MK Moti Yogev had to act to bridge the gaps in order to promote the approval of as many budgets as possible by the end of the year. Yogev warned that "the disruption of the committee has resulted in the failiur to approve various ministries' budgets, including the Ministry of Education, the Prime Minister's office and more."
Following the refusal of the Finance ministry to appear, MK Yogev addressed Finance Committee chairman MK Gafnie (UTJ), Director of the Prime Minister office Ronen Peretz, MK Miki Zohar (Likud) and Mayor of Modi'in and Chairman of the Local Government council - Haim Bibs, to jointly press the Finance Ministry And promptly approve the Ministry of Education's budgets and other unapproved government ministry budgets about the approval by the committee.
Yogev said: "Just as we demanded the budgeting for special needs children with all the members of the committee, so we will fight for the approval of the education budgets in the committee, for the benefit of all the children of Israel."
