Brian Hook, United States Special Representative for Iran, has responded to a report by the Reuters news agency that about 1,500 people were killed in recent protests in Iran.
Writing on Twitter, Hook said,
“The Reuters report on the massacre ordered by [Supreme Iranian Leader Ali] Khamenei underscores the urgency for the international community to punish the perpetrators and isolate the regime for the murder of 1,500 Iranian citizens.”
