Likud candidate Gid'on Saar has rejected the Supreme Court's intention to discuss whether the job of forming a government may be given to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu because of the pending indictments against him.
Saar said, "The question of whether Netanyahu can form a government is not a legal question but a political and incorrect one for the High Court to intervene on the issue. The law is clear. A prime minister is replaced at the ballot box, not in the courtroom." He noted, "Netanyahu has failed twice to form a government and is unlikely to succeed. A vote for me on Thursday will ensure the establishment of the Likud government and rescuing the state from the ongoing crisis."
