Israeli police in cooperation with Mekorot Company on Route 60 near Elias Intersection saw two suspects who allegedly connected to the Mekorot water carrier with the intention of stealing water.
The suspects who spotted the undercover police fled and after a leg chase, one of the suspects was arrested in Hevron.
Tomorrow, the suspect will be brought to Ofer Military Court to extend his remand.
The investigation is ongoing and further arrests are expected.
