Member of Knesset Orly Levi-Abekasis (Labor-Gesher) has reacted to the approval of the half-billion budget for the 2020 drugs basket by saying, "Our struggle to bring social issues back to the agenda is leading to results. The amount approved is important and correct but still not enough. We must not forget that NIS 750 million were promised."
Levi-Abekasis continued, "The implication is one: Unfortunately, many patients will continue to find themselves off the list and their fate and the fate of their loved ones has been set. The state must ensure every citizen has adequate medicine, even those who cannot pay the high prices themselves and are forced to pay with the quality of their life and sometimes even with their lives."
