During Israeli police operations in Yavne, police volunteers spotted a scooter traveling on the sidewalk on Dugit Street in Yavne.
The scooter rider was detained for examination and was found to be driving with a suspended license, and in a search conducted by the police on the suspect and on the scooter an amount of vegetable substance suspected of being cannabis drug weighing more than half a kilogram was found.
The suspect, 22, from Yavne was arrested for questioning and yesterday he was brought to a hearing on his case at the Magistrate's Court in Rishon L'Tzion, at the end of which he was jailed for six days.
