Israeli police investigators together with the Health Ministry's Enforcement and Supervision Department, arrested a pharmacist on Monday on suspicion of stealing drugs worth hundreds of thousands of shekels from an employer and selling them. Tomorrow she will be brought to court.
"Theft from an employer is a felony offense with up to 7 years in prison. In addition, trafficking in drugs illegally impairs public safety and can cause health and consumer harm. We will continue to work with the Health Ministry to expose offenders," police said.
"Uninformed and inappropriate use of the drugs can cause a wide range of side effects and endanger public health to the point of death," said Health Ministry Department of Enforcement and Supervision head Dr Ronnie Berkowitz.
