The UN Security Council will convene on Wednesday to discuss the Middle East, with Israel's participation.
U.S. Ambassador Kelly Craft has invited Adele Raemer, a resident of Kibbutz Nirim near Gaza, to speak to the council. Raemer is expected to speak at the start of the discussion and share with the council the reality that Israeli residents in the south experience in the shadow of rocket fire from Gaza.
Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, is expected to address the council around 11:30 am (6:40 pm in Israel).
