The Yesha Council of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria has decided to postpone the closure of the Ariel power station for a year while maintaining the status quo and stopping changes until the needs of the local communities are re-examined.
The postponement came at a Monday-evening meeting with Energy Minister Yuval Steinetz, who told the council he has instructed the electric company to see how it can improve service to put an end to the power outages that hit the area.
