President Reuven Rivlin has marked Israel's Recycling Day by calling on everyone to engage in recycling as part of the fight against the international climate crisis.
Speaking at a ceremony to honor Givatayim, Ariel, Emek Hefer and Kfar Veradim for their efforts, Rivlin said, "Today, there is no doubt about the existence of the climate crisis. A real crisis that is at the door of the leaders of the entire world and its citizens. We all need to take responsibility, we all need to be prepared to face this global challenge, both nationally and privately, in the kitchen and household of each of us. Waste separation and recycling are an integral part of the habits we need. A simple, simple act that, if done consistently, could make a big difference."
