Director-General Nir Orbach of the of the Jewish Home Party has distanced himself from word by Member of Knesset Moti Yogev comments that it that the name of the merged Jewish Home and National Union will be the Religious Zionist Party.
In a statement sent by Orbach Thursday afternoon to party members, he stated, "Parallel to negotiations on the joint run, we are working to accelerate the merger with the National Union," assisted by Yogev. Orbach concluded, "The agreement, which will include the name of the party, is being formulated together with our partners in the National Union and we will go out to the media and the public with an orderly and agreed-upon announcement."
