Chairman Avigdor Liberman of the Yisrael Beytenu Pardon said on Thursday that he will support the granting of a pardon to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in exchange for Netanyahu's retirement from politics.

Liberman stressed, in an interview with the Ynet studio, "Not immunity; pardon for honorary retirement." He added, "There is a sense of disgust at Netanyahu in the Knesset. He has become a burden." Liberman said that Netanyahu's Likud Party and the Blue and White Party should have formed the government and that he said from the beginning that Yisrael Beytenu would only join a unity government.
