Member of Knesset Orly Levi-Abaxis (Labor-Gesher) has urged Chairman Avi Nissenkorn of the Knesset Arrangements Committee to approve an exceptional budget of NIS 750 million to update the basket of subsidized medecines and other health treatments for 2020.
That's 50 percent more than the health basket approved earlier in the week. Levi-Abekasis said, "The political situation in Israel is leaving tens of thousands of patients helpless." She added, "While the government is not functioning, it is our duty as elected officials, to be the gatekeepers of Israeli citizens and to save thousands of people in Israel."
