Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, called on Security Council members to promote further sanctions against the regime in Tehran. Danon's appeal came in the wake of the letter of French, UK and German ambassadors to the UN Secretary-General stating allegations of a breach of Iran's nuclear agreement, contrary to the Council's decisions.
"We welcome the European move, but in order to harm the Iranian temerity, significant sanctions must be imposed on the regime," Danon said. "We can't limit [our reactions] to UN discussions."
