Justice Minister Amir Ohana wrote on Facebook on Thursday evening: "Deputy Attorney General Raz Nazri informed me, as I see has already been publicized, that he is not interested in the position. During my meeting with prosecutor Oshra Gaz-Eisenstein from the Tel Aviv District Attorney’s Office, she told me that she cannot currently fill the position for both personal and professional reasons."
"I was left with three candidates. All of them are talented and professional. All of them have similar seniority in the prosecutor's office. Everyone is very experienced, much more than people who filled the position in the past and this is a replacement for a limited period of time."
Ohana said that over the weekend he would consider who should be appointed, and next week he would consult with the Civil Service Commissioner and Attorney General. "I estimate that shortly afterward, with or without another meeting with the candidates, I will make my decision - that in this case - won't be easy."
