MK Itzik Shmuli of the Labor Party responded to IDF Spokesman Hedi Silberman who claimed that data on haredi recruitment was not falsified but that there was a mistake in the counting process.
"A 'counting error' is 1, 2, 30, maybe 100 ... not thousands of percent over several years. This is fraud. A malicious forgery. The IDF really is precious to us all, but such a stubborn response rather than taking responsibility only increases the distrust. I congratulate the Chief of Staff on the decision to appoint Gen. Numa to chair an inspection committee," Shmuli said.
